Coach Ramsey returns to her alma mater, where she wrestled for the Vikings from 1999–2002 under legendary Viking Hall of Fame Coach Craig Grace. During her time as a Viking, Coach Ramsey became a three-time Region 13 Champion and earned three state tournament placements. In 2002, she made history as a State Champion, becoming the first female wrestler from Central Texas to accomplish the feat. She was also named Outstanding Wrestler at the Texas State Wrestling Tournament that year.

Following her high school career at Lanier, Coach Ramsey continued wrestling collegiately. She competed for the University of Minnesota-Morris from 2002–2004 before transferring to Missouri Valley College, where she wrestled from 2004–2007. In 2006, Coach Ramsey captured a College National Championship.

Coach Ramsey began her coaching career at Lanier, serving as Head Coach from 2007–2011. She later served as an Assistant Coach at LBJ from 2015–2017 and returned to Lanier as an Assistant Coach from 2017–2018. In 2019, she became the Head Wrestling Coach at Navarro, a position she continues to hold today.

Coach Ramsey returned to the Vikings as Head Coach in 2019 and is entering her 16th year of coaching high school wrestling. Her dedication to developing student-athletes and growing the sport has been recognized throughout her coaching career. In 2025, she was named Girls Coach of the Year at the District Tournament.

Coach Ramsey’s return to Viking Nation represents a full-circle moment, bringing her career as a Viking wrestler and coach together while continuing the tradition of excellence established by those who came before her.
