Coach Lopez was born and raised in Odessa, Texas and graduated from Odessa Permian HS in 2000. Following HS, Coach Lopez attended Odessa Junior College where he played baseball for two seasons before hanging up his cleats. After his time on the field ended, his passion and drive for the game remained. After receiving his B.A. from the University of North Texas, and acquiring his teaching certificate, Coach Lopez wanted to give back and share his passion for coaching and teaching. Coach Lopez has been a teacher for 12 years and has coached softball for many of those as well. e is looking forward to sharing his love for softball and using the game to instill life lessons that will resonate through time. Coach Lopez is married to Leighann Lopez and have three daughters, Lorelai, Livi, Lia and a son names Luis.
