LADY VIKINGS SHOW GRIT IN 4–3 COMEBACK WIN OVER AUSTIN ACHIEVE

The Navarro Lady Vikings put together one of their most resilient performances of the season, rallying past the Austin Achieve Polar Bears for a thrilling 4–3 victory on the road. Navarro faced adversity all night, falling behind three different times—first 1–0, then 2–1, and later 3–2. Each time, the Lady Vikings answered with confidence and composure, refusing to let the match slip away. Leading the attack was freshman #18 Sharon Meija, who netted two goals to keep Navarro within reach. Her ability to find space and finish under pressure proved vital as momentum shifted back and forth throughout the match. Down 3–2 late, Navarro found life from a corner. #24 Alicia Velásquez delivered a dangerous corner kick that resulted in the 3–3 equalizer, curled in from close range by #10 Yari Soto, swinging both energy and belief firmly in the Vikings’ favor. The comeback was completed when #4 Victoria Nuñez stepped up with the game-winning goal, giving Navarro its first lead of the night and sealing a hard-earned win. Playmaker #24 Alicia Velásquez was the engine behind the offense, tallying an impressive three assists and orchestrating Navarro’s attacking rhythm from start to finish. The victory was a testament to the Lady Vikings’ toughness and teamwork, showcasing a group that thrives under pressure and refuses to be denied when the match is on the line.
