A new season has officially arrived, and there is unmistakable excitement surrounding Navarro Viking Football as players and coaches hit the field for the first day of practice.
The Vikings enter 2026 with a transformed athletic campus featuring a brand-new turf field, stadium lighting, scoreboard, home stands, press box, competition gym, indoor training facility, weight room, and track—creating one of the premier high school athletic environments in Central Texas.
While the facilities represent an exciting new chapter, the foundation of the program remains unchanged: developing young men through discipline, accountability, and relentless effort.
Head Coach David Avila returns to lead a dedicated coaching staff focused on building a championship culture.
As whistles echoed across the new turf and players took the field for the first time, one thing became clear: the excitement surrounding Navarro Football is about much more than new facilities. It is about a program being united by purpose, energized by opportunity, and determined to make the most of a new beginning.
The 2026 season is underway—and The Viking Way has never looked brighter.
