The Navarro Lady Vikings Volleyball program opened the 2026 season in impressive fashion Tuesday, August 11, earning a road sweep over Northeast ECHS and setting an early tone for what promises to be an exciting season of development and program growth. From the opening serve, the Lady Vikings competed with energy, confidence, and toughness - The Viking Way. The season-opening sweep was about more than wins on the scoreboard—it reflected the culture of excellence and competitiveness being built throughout the program by Head Coach Jennifer Martinez and Assistant Coaches David Pineda and Joana Duran. Senior Caitlyn Simmons provided outstanding leadership, helping set the standard for a young but talented group of Lady Vikings. Simmons and her teammates brought tremendous energy to the court, sparked by incredible plays from the entire lineup. Whether it was aggressive serving, timely attacks, tough defense, or teammates battling to keep points alive, the Lady Vikings consistently found ways to respond and compete together. With a talented youthful roster, strong senior leadership, and a coaching staff committed to raising expectations, Tuesday night’s road sweep provided an exciting first look at the direction of Lady Viking Volleyball.
