Boys Soccer kicked off the season with a narrow 1-0 win over Salado High School on Thursday morning. Five starters and ten players overall made their Varsity debuts in the game. Returning seniors Rodrigo Suarez, Alessandro Alonso, and Andy Madrid provided leadership on the field for the new boys stepping up a level. Sophomores Diego Stauffer and Osbaldo Serna were also impressive in the opening match of their first full campaigns on the Varsity team as both players made key appearances in 2019 as 9th graders. In a tight match with few quality chances though it was Sophomore Roli Diengo who provided the key assist for Senior Josue Montalvan's game winning goal in the final ten minutes. Man of the match honors went to Alvin Curiel for keeping his first career Varsity clean sheet as Goalkeeper.
