The Austin Navarro Powerlifting team competed this past Thursday at the Lago Vista Invitational in Lago Vista, Texas. The following lifters represented their school and competed well! Markeon Ellis (Fr. ) 123lb. wt. class, finished 4th, with a total of 600lbs. Alex Rojas (Fr.) 132lb. wt. class, finished 6th, with a total of 520lbs. Juan Hernandez ( Fr.) 181lb wt. class, finished 8th, with a total of 680lbs. Fredi Marin (Fr.) 198lb. wt. class, finished 11th, with a total of 940lbs. Ramon Sanchez (Fr.) 220lb wt. class, finished 6th, with a total of 785lbs. Balmore Palacios (Sr.) SHW wt. class, finished 3rd, with a total of 1345lbs. And Victor Evans (Sr.) SHW wt. class, finished 1st place with 1440lbs total. This will conclude the final meet of the regular season. The Austin Navarro Powerlifting Team will continue their efforts for another season next year. Senior, SHW lifters Balmore Palacios and Victor Evans will continue competing one final week to qualify for the 2020 THSPA Division 1 Region 2 Championship Meet in Burleson, Texas. Their next meet will be at the Texas Strength Systems Gym in San Antonio, Texas on Friday, February 28th @ 5:00PM.
