The Lady Viks took down the McCallum Knights this Monday in a tough fought 39-38 overtime victory. After being down 7 points at half the Viks defense helped them to get out into the open court in the 2nd half and regulation time finished with a score of 30-30. Overtime was riddled with lead changes, but the Viks were able to pull out the win as Tajahnae Gillespie sunk 2 clutch free throws to seal it. While the senior Gillespie twins led the way with massive stat lines(posted below); the Viks team defense was the key to bringing down the Knights. Jasmine Washington had a big game dominating the paint with 7 points and 6 rebounds while Darlin Diaz chipped in 4 points and brought a spark to the Viks in the second half with her relentless hustle. Tajahnae Gillespie posted 17 points, 13 steals, and 8 rebounds Tajahnique Gillespie added 11 points, 7 steals and 7 rebounds
