Navarro vs. Crockett Your Navarro Vikings took on the Crockett Cougars last Friday night for their second district game of the season and their home opener for district play. The Navarro Vikings prepared for the Cougars all week preparing to stop their toss heavy offense. The Vikings went into the game fired up and with high intensity looking to secure their first district win. The Vikings started strong on defense in the first half holding the Cougars to just 21 points. The Viking offense used their ground game and air raid attacks to keep the game close to 21-14 at halftime. The Vikings and Cougars went on to battle in the second half bringing it down to the 4th quarter of play. Down two touchdowns going into the 4th quarter, the Vikings continued to attack the Cougar defense scoring 3 touchdowns bringing the score to 41-34 in the last minutes of the game. The Vikings fell short in the last seconds of the game, with the score 41-34. The Vikings are proud of the way they played through all 4 quarters but they are not satisfied! They are back to work this week with high energy and a locked in mentality preparing to take on the Travis Rebels Friday night at Burger Stadium at 7:30pm! GO VIKS!
