VIKING FOOTBALL DOMINANT IN GAME 1 WIN OVER EASTSIDE

Austin, TX. - The Navarro Vikings emerged victorious over the Eastside Panthers on Friday night at Nelson Field, winning 14-0 in a hard-fought game defined by stout defense and a relentless ground attack. Both teams struggled to find their footing in the first half, which ended with a 0-0 stalemate. Navarro's offense was hampered by numerous penalties, stalling their drives and keeping the score tied. However, the Vikings turned things around in the second half, fueled by a dominant running game. Sa’vion Farley and Irabel Avila powered the offense with several explosive runs, breaking through the Panthers' defense and finally putting points on the board. Defensively, the Vikings were anchored by strong performances from Chris Torres and Brandon Morris, who led the charge in shutting down Eastside's offense. Torres and Morris combined for several key tackles and pressures, preventing the Panthers from gaining any momentum. With this win, the Navarro Vikings move forward, bolstered by their resilient defense and emerging offensive playmakers. The Vikings will be back in action on Friday for Military and First Responders Appreciation Night at Nelson Field as they host Northeast.
